Scribble soup for writers' block #20: The inner critic

Who is your inner critic? How does it stop you from writing?

It is hard to write with someone constantly reading over your shoulders. Watching and waiting for you to make a mistake. So you write slowly, getting nowhere. Before you know it an hour has past and you've only written two sentences. You read the lines constantly, over and over again. You painstakingly check the spelling and the grammer. By the time you've done this a hundred times, you've forgotten what you intended to write. Emotionally, intellectually and creatively drained, you file the work away...If you never see it again, it'll be too soon.

Scribblesoup writing challenges.
